Footprints!!!

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he
was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For
each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in
the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to
the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before
him, he looked back at the footprints on the
sand. He noticed that many times along the
path of his life there was only one set of
footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the
LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I
decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all
the way. But I have noticed that during the
most troublesome times in my life, there is only
one set of footprints. I don't understand why
when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My precious, precious
child. I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when
you see only one set of footprints, it was then
that I carried you."

This is my favorite poems of all times and my friend, Maurie, read it at my baptism :-) <3

My Baptism!!!!

January 14th, 2012 I was blessed with the opportunity to be baptised into the LDS church! It was an amazing feeling! I was able to involve all those who meant alot to me. Maurie Moline spoke about Baptism and read my favorite poem of all time. My BEST friend Larisa spoke on the Holy Ghost as well. Amanda and Becca sang a musical piece while Karisa played the piano. Kimber and Trason gave the opening and closing prayer and most of all... Elder Calderwood baptised me. Elder Larson gave me the gift of the Holy Ghost today, January 15th. Elder Green was also at my baptism which meant a great deal to me. Friends from Provo came up (Becca, Whitney, Sadie, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Larisa and Kimber). Kaitlyn was a surprise. I thought she wasn't going to be able to make it!!! That was amazing! I cried during Maurie's speak as well as Larisa's. It was an amazing day with lots of support and love from friends and ward members! Thanks for helping me make a special day even more special!

Whitney, Sadie, me and Becca after I was baptised :-) Wet hair and all!

Blog Catastrophe

After reading a blog that was not so nice about me, and reading everything everyone had to say about me I was beginning to get very discouraged. My Uncle Gene, who I hardly ever talk to, was so furious I though something bad would have happened. He completely made my day when he wrote this on my facebook wall:

Kaitlyn’s Uncle Gene blog excerpt

Let me tell you about my niece Kaitlyn –

She is gorgeous, she is brilliant, she is talented she is cherished, she is unique, she is loved and most of all she is my sweet niece and anybody that does not agree with me can kiss my (sorry mom) butt…

Have a great day sweet girl.

He completely made my day!!! I wouldn't have gotten through this week if it weren't for my friends and family. Love you!

My week...

This week has been absolutely miserable. Some things I KNOW I shouldn't have done, and some friendships lost :'-( There has not been a dry night where I haven't cried myself to sleep about it. I think about what could have happened and can't help but blame myself...and pray that one day I will be forgiven.
